ecosia.org is a search engine that uses the funds generated by search ads to plant trees and fund reforestation projects, firefighting and restoring habitats in over 9000 locations around the world. The tree plant live count number shown on their homepage goes up every second as searches are made! 🌲 🌳 🌲 🌳 🌲 🌳

When you go to their homepage you can select to set ecosia as your main search engine, and it is actually a good search engine too which works very well, you can also download their app for whichever smart phone you have.

Some of their projects currently include:

– Reforesting volcano slopes in the pacific lowlands

– Reforesting degraded landscapes in Spain

– Re-greening the Sahal in Burkina Faso fighting the advancements of the Sahara desert
